Comments: I am shocked to find that no one else has commented on this work of art.It is amazingly convicting. With its straight forward show of torment and yet even in the pain which christ must be suffering as he is hung on the cross I observe that Fra Angelico has postioned Christs head in such a way that that it would portray a great love for the man who kneels at the foot of the cross.I am filled with sadness to see that no one else has commented on such a masterpiece.

Comments: It is a beatiful painting done by Fra Angelico. I love the way he does most of his paintings. Most of his paintings are religious.

Comments: It is hard to tell in this photograph, but the look of adoration on Saint Dominic's face is astounding. It is just beautiful how Angelico captured the essence of extreme sadness on St. Dominic’s face. I believe he must have seen true sadness on someone’s face before to capture such realism. I know it fits with one of his coined Latin phrases "Tu Noces Pueri Parvi"
which translates 'sadness is truth'. This previous phrase clearly states he suffered much sadness in his own life.
