    Comments: Hi, I am presently reading on the master by Serge Bramly, and then it occured to me that the soldier in profile can only be Da Vinci himself working from mirrors, it would make sense from the nose structure and the missing teeth, he had to contort his face and the dress is purely out of his imagination and fantasy, to also impress local youths, i am sure Salai was. I study portraits and work from photos even adjust the character at times, we must remember this man's free imagination and the actual pleasure he had in his latter years. I am not a Da Vinci expertm he did not draw hands on this silver point,may be he was content to look so nostalgic, at one point and time he needed to fuel up his ego.
