Comments: Pretty impressive! In his 67 years of life, Leonardo Da Vinci was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, engineer, inventor, and scientist. This genius of the fifteenth century revolutionized the art world with his paintings. His sketches covered a spectrum of topics including life studies, science, and architecture. In fact, Da Vinci's models of weapons and his strategic layouts and battle plans were marveled at by military leaders for many years after his death.AS I SAY MAGNIFICINT

Comments: I have to say Leonardo da Vinci is THE most important man of the reniassance. He was talented in everyway possible. I'm doing coursework on him now and I've discovered loads of amazing information on him. Incredible to think that someone in the 15th and 16th centuries can plot the advanced technology we use here in the 21st century.

Comments: This is an excellent sketch and all, but it wouldn't be efficient for actual flight. And how does he plan to move it in any direction but straight up if it does work? I can do better than this...

Comments: Leonardo da Vinci was and still is the most intelligent man in the world that ever lived. It is so amazing how he could skecth of all the ideas he thought of before anybody else could even think about them. I firmly believe that he already knew that his idea of the helicopter was going to be a success, but not for this long. Even though he didn't like evilness, he still came up with the ideas of weapons, which is STUPENDOUS! If he still lived, he would probably be the most famous man in the world. Although he was a scientist, inventor, artist, sculptor, architect, musician, and an engineer, I strongly believe his best talent was his wisdom.

Comments: Leonardo was certainly very talented, although far from alone in the Renaissance among other great engineers, like Brunelleschi and Tacola. His helicopter was derived from a child's toy popular at least 100 years before Leonardo lived. Many of his 'inventions' were actually improvements, or close observations of previously existing machines. His real genius lies in the breadth of his interests and his evident skill as draftsman and painter
