Comments: In this statue one can see a contortion,with the head turned one way,and the body in another. Victory is portrayed as a very tall,beautifuly muscled young man,or god.He is a strong,commanding figure,assuming a stance of power.He has one leg on the back of an enemy, cowering before him.Some say ,this victim has the face of Michelangelo.
The calm,tranquil face,of Victory,belies the conqueror's body language.
All in all,this is a very impressive sculpture.
